Long Shot’s O’Shea Jackson on Rom-Coms, The Need for Bipartisanship, and That Big Twist

on May 04, 2019, 9:08am

Consequence of Sound‘s Editor-in-Chief Michael Roffman sits down with O’Shea Jackson Jr., who stars in the new romantic comedy Long Shot. Together, they discuss the rom-com genre as a whole, his on-screen bromance with Seth Rogen, the need for political unity in America, and, naturally, his big character twist at the end of the film.

Directed by Jonathan Levine, Long Shot follows a cutthroat journalist (Rogen) who begins to spend time with his former babysitter (Charlize Theron), who is now running for president. The film also stars Andy Serkis, June Diane Raphael, Bob Odenkirk, Alexander Skarsgård, Ravi Patel, and an entire cabinet of today’s hottest comics.
