Today’s D-Day for the over two million people who signed up to storm Area 51. The corresponding music festival may have been scraped, but the brave men and women who want to “see them aliens” can still enjoy the sweet sounds of Foo Fighters.
Dave Grohl and co. just released a new live album of their 2005 performance at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico. Grohl, a self-proclaimed UFO “freak,” held the concert to celebrate the release of the band’s fifth album, In Your Honor, and invited 500 contest winners to attend.
Now, as the latest installment in the Foo Files live archive, Foo Fighters have released the seven-song Live at Roswell EP. The set opens with “In Your Honor” and also boasts a 10-minute version of “Stacked Actors”, as well as “Free Me”, “Monkey Wrench”, and “All My Life”. Take a listen in full below.
“Remember: be polite,” Foo Fighters wrote in a tweet linking to the release. Along with some alien-themed emojis, the band included an advert for the original Roswell concert.
