Drake has been forced to postpone a handful of dates on his Summer Sixteen tour because of an ankle injury. The news was revealed today via a post on the OVO website penned by the 6 God himself.

“We are over 50 shows in and I have done everything to power through my recent ankle injury and leave it all out there on the stage every night,” Drake writes. “I hate to be told that I can’t do something, but under doctor’s orders to allow me time to recuperate, I am being forced to postpone the intense three shows in a row in cities which have only ever shown me unconditional support.”

The markets affected are Drizzy’s hometown of Toronto, Philadelphia, and at least one of the two shows in Newark. For Toronto and Philadelphia, it’s unclear at this time which, if not all, of the dates have been axed. Update: The dates affected are 10/9, 10/13, and 10/16.

“I only want to give you the best show you deserve, I promise — I will make it up to you,” he closes. There’s been no word on when these concerts will be rescheduled. We suggest Drake buddy up with Dave Grohl ASAP.

Read the full message below, followed by what was supposed to be his upcoming itinerary. The expansive Summer Sixteen tour is in support of Views, Drake’s latest smash album and the very first one to net one billion streams on Apple Music.
