Common previews new album with smooth “Red Wine” — listen

on October 24, 2016, 12:01pm

Election Day (November 4th) marks the release of Black America Again, the new album from Common. The follow-up to 2014’s Nobody’s Smiling as his 11th (!) to date and counts Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Bilal, Robert Glasper, and BJ the Chicago Kid as guests.

Already the veteran musician and poet has previewed the LP with the Wonder-assisted title track and live versions of “Letter to the Free,” “The Day the Women Took Over,” and “A Little Chicago Boy”. Today, Common returns with “Red Wine”, a cut that features Syd Tha Kyd of The Internet and Elena, and goes down smooth and velvety like a top-dollar bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.
