Watch Bruce Springsteen’s truly epic interview on Colbert

Friday was a big day for Bruce Springsteen. The rock legend not only celebrated his 67th birthday, but also the release of his long-awaited memoir, Born to Run, which he promoted with an appearance the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Over the course of the four-segment interview, Springsteen reflected on the music that shaped his childhood, specifically Elvis and The Beatles’ respective performances at the Ed Sullivan Theater, where he was now sitting five decades later. He also spoke of his relationship with his father, religion, and his record-breaking concerts. Colbert also asked Springsteen to pick his five favorite Springsteen songs, to which he responded: “Born to Run”, “The Rising”, “Thunder Road”, “Nebraska”, and “Racing Through the Streets”.
