There’s a new krazy trailer for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters — watch

When Sony dropped the first trailer for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters back in March, the reaction was most unsatisfactory. You had the obvious dickheads complaining about the female cast, sure, but there was also a wider (and more saner) consensus that maybe remaking the 1984 original and flooding it with stereotypes, slapstick comedy, and rehashed plot elements wasn’t so hot of an idea. Maybe?

Now, following rumored reshoots and even criticism by star Melissa McCarthy, Sony returns with another trailer, one that attempts to dissuade the general public that this isn’t the same ol’ story told with flashier effects. The result isn’t exactly as inspiring as they’d want it to be, but there are admittedly glimpses of the smarter side of Feig’s blockbuster humor that go beyond lame gags like ghost vomit.
