Upcoming comedy drama Len and Company tells the story of a successful music producer who steps away from the limelight only to have his life shaken up by his estranged son and his pop star companion. The film made its debut at last year’s Edinburgh Film Festival and will see a theatrical release on June 10th through IFC.

Written and directed by Tim Godsall and Katharine Knight, Len and Company stars Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man, Mr. Nobody) and Keir Gilchrist (It Follows, It’s Kind of a Funny Story). It also features Juno Temple (Maleficent) and Kathryn Hahn (We’re the Millers).

The movie’s first trailer has been revealed above courtesy of The Playlist, and it introduces us to washed-up yet strangely magnetic character Len.

Here’s a full synopsis:

“Rhys Ifans goes to eleven as a rock star staring down a personal crisis in this smart, acerbic comedy. He plays Len, a punk rocker-turned-in-demand pop producer who, following a very public meltdown, retreats to his country home for some time away from the pressures of the business. His solitude is interrupted, however, when he receives a visit from some surprise guests—his estranged son (Jack Kilmer) and pop star protégé (Juno Temple)—who arrive with complications of their own and who shake the prickly Len out of his stupor. Propelled by an irresistible performance from Ifans, Len and Company offers wry and incisive observations on fame and family.”
