For his latest art project, Shia LaBeouf is standing in an elevator for 24 hours

on February 19, 2016, 3:20pm

Back in November, Shia LaBeouf binged out on his entire filmography (including The Even Stevens Movie!) for 72 straight hours as part of an art project dubbed #ALLMYMOVIES. Now, he’s embarked on another eccentric endeavor in the name of all things art and hashtags.

#ELEVATE sees LeBeouf standing in an elevator at Oxford University for 24 consecutive hours. The ride began Friday morning G.M.T. and is being streamed live online via YouTube (watch below). During the first 12 or so hours, LeBeouf kept occupied by conversing with a variety of Oxford University students, as well as with his artistic collaborators Luke Turner and Nastja Sade.

LeBeouf’s only break will come for a university lecture. Otherwise, his endurance for confined spaces and social interactions will be put to the test.
