Dave Bowie amassed a $100 million fortune in his lifetime. According to his will, which was filed in Surrogate’s Court in Manhattan on Friday, his estate is to be divided between his wife Iman Abdulmajid Jones, his two children Duncan Jones and Alexandria Jones, his longtime personal assistant Corinne Schwab, and his family’s former nanny Marion Skene, reports the New York Times.
Iman, whom Bowie married in 1992, is to receive half of Bowie’s fortune as well as his SoHo apartment. Duncan and Alexandria are to each receive 25% of his estate, with Alexandria also receiving her father’s mountain home in Ulster County, New York.
Schwab is to receive $2 million dollars as well as Bowie’s stock in a company called Opossum Inc. Skene is to receive $1 million dollars.
Additionally, the will detailed Bowie’s wishes to be cremated in Bali “in accordance with the Buddhist rituals” of the country. According to the Guardian, his family scattered his ashes in Bali following a ceremony.
