The National’s Bryce Dessner helped score Alejandro González Iñárritu’s upcoming thriller The Revenant, alongside German electronic artist Alva Noto and Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. Ahead of the soundtrack’s January 8th release, Dessner has unveiled his original composition titled “Imagining Buffalo”.
Performed by Berlin’s s t a r g a z e ensemble and conductor André de Ridder, it’s a tranquil number that slowly blooms and billows into a lively, moving creature. Listen in below.
