Nine months ago, Kendrick Lamar served as the final musical guest on The Colbert Report. The performance, which ranked among our favorite late-night moments of 2014, clearly resonated with Colbert, who invited the Compton MC to guest on the sophomore episode of Late Show.

Once again K. Dot did not disappoint, delivering a scorching medley of songs from his latest album, To Pimp a Butterfly. Specifically, the setlist included “Wesley’s Theory”, “Momma”, “King Kunta”, and “U”, the latter of which featured a brand new verse. For the performance, Kendrick was accompanied by a full backing band that included Thundercat and Bilal, among others.

Watch the replay below.

And speaking of “Wesley’s Theory”, Kendrick has reportedly filmed a video for the song featuring Ice Cube and George Clinton.
