on August 19, 2015, 5:05pm

Controversial Esquire profile aside, Miles Teller is “in talks” to follow up his successful run of films (The Divergent, Whiplash, The Spectacular Now) with Thank You for Your Service, a forthcoming DreamWorks drama about post-traumatic stress disorder.

Oscar-nominated screenwriter Jason Hall (American Sniper) adapted the script from journalist David Finkel’s 2013 nonfiction work of the same name. The book, which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, is the sequel to Finkel’s 2009 release The Good Soldiers. A brief synopsis of Thank You for Your Service reads:

Thank You for Your Service, written by American journalist David Finkel, is the follow up non-fiction book to The Good Soldiers, which chronicles the lives of the 2-16 Infantry Battalion in Baghdad during 2007 and 2008. With this sequel, Finkel examines the soldier’s lives back home in the US as they struggle to readjust to family and civilian life.”

Teller last appeared in Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four in the role of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic.
