Earlier this month, Hannibal Buress enlisted Flying Lotus to serve as house DJ for his Comedy Central show, Why? With Hannibal Buress. A week later, FlyLo rewarded Buress with the show’s first-ever live performance, enlisting Open Mike Eagle and Thundercat.

With FlyLo manning the decks off to the side, Thundercat plucked out some funky future bass lines, while Open Mike dropped “Ziggy Starfish (Anti-Anxiety Raps)” off his recent album, A Special Episode Of. A major producer, a swiftly rising collaborative bass extraordinaire, and a celebrated member of the local Chicago hip-hop scene — not a bad get for your show’s first foray into music. Check out the replay below:

Why? airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10:30 p.m. EST/9:30 p.m. CST.
