You may best know Chris Hemsworth as Thor in Avengers. His next role, however, couldn’t be more different. Hemsworth has been cast to play a receptionist in Paul Feig’s forthcoming adaptation of Ghostbusters.
In the original Ghostbusters, Annie Potts played the receptionist for the all-male team. However, in Feig’s all-female version, it makes sense to flip genders and give the role to a man. And who better than the man who embodies otherworldly strength in Marvel’s cinematic universe?
Hemsworth joins a cast that stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. The film, which is inspired by AMC’s The Walking Dead, is scheduled to hit theaters on July 22nd, 2016.
