Chief Keef and Kanye West team up for “Nobody” — listen

on December 15, 2014, 9:33am

Chief Keef and Kanye West have unveiled their new collaborative single “Nobody”. The duo previously linked up on Yeezus’ psychedelic pseudo-ballad “Hold My Liquor”, and this latest effort is equally as surreal.

Featuring a sample of Willie Hutch’s 1973 soul jam “Brother’s Gonna Work It Out”, the track itself feels like the apex of a night spent binge-drinking: Keef’s Auto-Tuned vocals, part slur and part croon, and West’s succinct-yet-soulful backing harmonies sound doubly hazy over rumbling drum beats and the intermittent flutter of keys. Is 9 a.m. too early to toss back a couple shots of Malört? Listen in below (via Miss Info).

“Nobody” is the title track off Keef’s latest album, which he’s self-releasing tomorrow. It’s the young MC’s first since being dropped by Interscope earlier this year.
