avclub11 A.V. Club announces first ever A.V. Fest

They’ve been giving us exclusive and unexpected covers (like this one, that one, and this other one) for two years now, and now the gang over at The Onion’s A.V. Club are throwing their hat into the festival circuit by announcing the A.V. Fest. The festival will be held on September 10th and 11th outside the Hideout on West Wabansia in Chicago.

Self-proclaimed as a “seat of our pants” kind of endeavor, the festival will feature 12 bands over the two days. Thus far the reformed Archers of Loaf, The Thermals, Tokyo Police Club, Telekinesis, and Eef Barzelay of Clem Snide Plays the Music of Journey (biggest get?) are all confirmed, with more acts coming in the weeks ahead.

Further information is still forthcoming, though tickets promise to be “SUPER cheap” [sic].
