Slash says GN'R already turned down Glee

on January 18, 2011, 3:00pm

The current members of Guns N’ Roses clearly can’t decide what’s going on in their camp, but at least one former member of the Los Angeles-based-rock-outfit-that-won’t-go-away can make a freaking decision. When asked whether he would like to see his old band featured on Glee, former G N’R guitarist and top hat guru, Slash, said that the question had already been brought up – and turned down – in the past.

The 45-year-old (whose real name – Saul Hudson – actually sounds like it could belong to a character on the show) said that he always tries to be “optimistic” about the current state of entertainment, but that he draws the line when it comes to Burt, Kurt, Mr. Schuester, and Coach Sylvester.

Glee is worse than Grease, and Grease was bad enough,” he told Entertainment Weekly, “[but] I look at Grease now and think, ‘between High School Musical and Glee, Grease was a brilliant work of art.” Ouch. At least we have Slash’s solo album with Alter Bridge guitarist Myles Kennedy to look forward to.
