Kanye West and Jay-Z team up for EP, drop Bon Iver-featuring song

on August 27, 2010, 8:10pm

While we’re still waiting to hear the result of that Jay-Z and Jack White collaboration, it’s been Hova’s work with Kanye West that has proved to be his most captivating partnership of late. If you need any evidence of why, then listen to the “Diamonds From Sierra Leone” remix, “Run This Town”, and the recently revealed “Power” remix.

It now appears  that the two hip-hop superstars plan to take their ongoing collaboration one step further. Today, on his self-proclaimed G.O.O.D. Friday, West revealed (via Twitter) plans of the imminent release of a new EP with Jay-Z. “Me and jay bout to drop a 5 song album called ‘Watch the Throne’,” West tweeted.

No word on when the effort may be revealed, but West accompanied the news by releasing a little something to help hold you over. Below, you can stream the first taste of Watch the Throne. Titled “Monster”, the track features West, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and, yes, Bon Iver. Stream that below, too.
